But today hundreds of people will get the chance to see and buy the world’s largest, historic natural pearl existing. The “Arco Valley Pearl’ is about 3.1 inches in length and is up for bidding at the Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace and of course the internet. It is estimated that the pearl will fetch more then $5 million.

The 575-carat pearl date back to the 12th century and once was the possession of the Chinese emperors, then passed on to the Persian kings, the grandson of Genghis Khan and even Marco Polo. Its value is based on its size, color, weight, exclusivity, history and records. It is the only biggest pearl up for sale in the world. The name- Arco Valley pearl relates to its previous owner from Austria’s Arco Valley family dynasty. It is of white color with hints of blue, with pink and cream colors too.
